Product Testing

A product test involves the systematic evaluation of a product with regard to its safety, functionality, quality, and regulatory requirements. Depending on the product and target market, tests in the areas of EMC, radio, product safety, environmental simulation, or reliability may be required. The results often form the basis for certifications and market approvals.

In most cases, yes. Product testing provides the technical evidence required for certifications and market approvals. These include, for example, CE marking, international country approvals, or product-specific certifications. The test reports serve as the basis for the subsequent conformity and approval process.

A product test at TQ follows a structured and transparent process. After the inquiry and product description, TQ identifies the relevant standards and prepares a test plan. Once the quotation is approved, a test appointment is coordinated—optionally first as a pre-compliance test. The actual testing takes place in the accredited laboratory, and all results are documented in a traceable test report. If any issues arise, TQ advises on root cause analysis and supports measures prior to retesting. Upon request, TQ also accompanies the subsequent product certification.

Yes. TQ-PCC operates independently of manufacturers and is open to all electronics manufacturers—regardless of whether the product was developed or manufactured at TQ.
