A product certification is proof that a product meets the applicable legal and regulatory requirements of the respective target market.Many electrical and electronic products require conformity assessment and CE marking before being placed on the EU market. Third-party certification is only mandatory for certain product categories. Outside the EU, country-specific approval requirements apply, such as FCC (USA), KC (South Korea), or TELEC (Japan).
