Reduce costs without compromising on quality
TQ systematically analyzes bills of materials for cost drivers: expensive individual components, low standardization, and unfavorable procurement sources. Based on this, alternatives with equivalent functionality, a better lifecycle, and a lower price are identified – always in close coordination between purchasing, development, and supply chain. For new developments, design-to-cost criteria are incorporated into component selection from the very beginning. In addition, we review bills of materials at an early stage for obsolescence risks in order to avoid component discontinuations and costly redesigns.
