With the latest 6th generation Intel Atom® x6000E Series and Intel® Pentium® and Celeron® N and J Series processors (code named Elkhart Lake / EHL) Intel® delivers for the first time the powerful and super economical 10 nm technology for x86 entry-level, low-power embedded/IoT applications.
With the embedded computing modules of the TQMxE40 family from TQ, you can easily, quickly and efficiently integrate the latest technology updates and the enormous performance increase in CPU, graphics, memory and interfaces into your applications. With this COM (Computer-on-Module) or SoM (System-on-Module) approach, CPU integration and system design can be optimally parallelized, thereby optimizing effort and time-to-market.
Dual- and Quad-Core versions are available for all applications.
Applications range from industrial automation, medical technology, test & measurement, robotics, image processing, visualization and artificial intelligence (AI) to transportation and logistics. With the extended temperature range, continuous operation under harsh environmental conditions is also possible without restrictions. Due to the low power consumption (Thermal Design Power is between 4.5 and 12 W), battery powered mobile applications are also well covered. The long-term availability of at least 15 years provides design and planning security.
Industry 4.0 and real-time sensitive Industrial IoT applications are addressed by the distinct real-time features. These include the TSN support of network interfaces, but also the Intel® Time Coordinated Computing (Intel® TCC) extensions, which enable reliable deterministics to be ensured consistently within the processor but also via interfaces such as PCIe. The integrated ARM™ Cortex™ M7-based Intel® Programmable Service Engine (Intel® PSE) reduces the load on the CPU and takes over important functions for real-time and IO.
Security aspects are supported by the integrated security co-processor, the so-called Intel® Converged Security Engine (Intel® CSE), and TPM support. Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT) also enables the secure separation of different functions and operating systems that are running simultaneously on the processor.
In order to optimally cover the diverse areas of application, TQ provides embedded CPU modules (Computer on Modules) in various form factors and designs:
