In mechanical engineering at TQ, every detail matters. Our mechanical engineers develop products such as enclosures, drives, and complete systems in such a way that function, manufacturability, and quality work together optimally. We place particular emphasis on EMC-compliant mechanical design in order to minimize electromagnetic influences at an early stage and ensure system reliability. The result is technically sophisticated solutions that are consistently designed according to the principle of Design for Excellence.
We support you in creating precise specifications and developing technical concepts as the basis for successful product development. Through feasibility analyses and technology evaluations, we assess possible approaches at an early stage and identify suitable solutions.

We develop and design mechanical components, assemblies, and complete systems using modern CAD tools. Precise tolerance design and the targeted use of FEM and thermal simulations where required enable optimal component design in terms of functionality, stability, and performance. From the very beginning, we take manufacturable design (Design for Manufacturing / Design for Assembly), optimal material selection, and component optimization into account.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration between our engineering teams in mechanics, electrics, electronics, and software, we realize holistic system developments from a single source. Close coordination between the specialist departments enables efficient integration of all components. This results in, among other things:

Mechanical engineering takes the integration of cables and connectors into account from the very beginning. Cable harnesses, interfaces, and wiring are optimally aligned with mechanical and electrical requirements. This creates the basis for safe, assembly-friendly, and service-friendly implementation.

We develop and assemble your prototypes with the highest precision. Our in-house test laboratory offers the decisive advantage of carrying out functional and load tests alongside development and precisely according to your requirements. This allows us to validate concepts at an early stage and incorporate any necessary optimizations directly into the ongoing process.

During industrialization, we reliably transfer prototypes into series production by taking manufacturing, cost (design-to-cost), and quality requirements into account at an early stage. At the same time, we provide comprehensive support for approval and validation, with our in-house test center ensuring fast processes and an optimized time to market for your production.

From design to series-ready product
We define ourselves as a system provider. That is why our portfolio covers the complete path from the initial idea through manufacturing to series production – including testing and approval. For us, the path to series production often starts with pilot production. It serves as the final link in optimizing manufacturing processes under real-world conditions. This ensures a smooth transition to series production and the highest quality from the very first unit.

We primarily work with SolidWorks. In addition, we can individually assess the possibility of working directly within our customers’ CAD systems or development environments to ensure seamless integration into existing processes.
At TQ, we work according to the V-model in mechanical engineering. All development phases are clearly defined and supported by accompanying tests and validations. This ensures that requirements are reliably met and potential risks are identified at an early stage.
The security of your data is our highest priority. We are therefore happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before an initial meeting to ensure the secure exchange of information. In addition, we rely on secure data management through our own server structures. Access to project-related content and data is strictly regulated and granted only to employees directly involved in the project. This ensures that your information remains confidential, protected, and used only to the extent necessary.
