Following a presentation of the TQ Group, the participants held an in-depth discussion on the economic situation facing German technology companies, current developments in procurement markets and the framework conditions needed to foster innovation and industrial value creation in Germany. It became clear that SMEs in particular need reliable political and economic conditions in order to make long-term investments and successfully bring innovations to market.

One of the central topics was the current situation in the electronics markets, particularly the sharp rise in prices for memory components and the continued volatility of international supply chains.

TQ-Group is addressing these developments through extensive expertise in obsolescence management, long-standing supplier partnerships and strategically aligned procurement and supply chain concepts. These measures already proved to be an important factor in maintaining security of supply for customers during previous market crises. At the same time, the company continues to invest consistently in digitalization, automation and high-performance manufacturing in Germany in order to remain internationally competitive in the future.

How Bavarian robotics strengthens Germany as an industrial hub

The growing importance of Bavaria as an innovation hub for robotics and humanoid systems was another key topic of discussion. Today, the region is one of Europe’s most dynamic robotics clusters and offers excellent conditions for the development of new technologies.

TQ-Group has been active in this field for many years and is driving numerous innovation projects with its expertise in electronics, drive technology and automation. The participants agreed that robotics and automation will play a key role in strengthening the future competitiveness of Germany as an industrial location.

The development of TQ-Group itself was also part of the discussion. The company’s founders looked back with a smile on its early days, when several banks initially declined to provide financing and the business was launched using second-hand machinery and furniture. What began as a two-person company in 1994 quickly developed into a successful international technology service provider with around 2,100 employees at 15 locations today. A remarkable success story “Made in Bavaria,” as Tobias Gotthardt also emphasized.

Securing competitiveness through quality

During the subsequent tour of the production facilities, the guests gained insights into various areas of TQ’s manufacturing operations. They were shown modern automation and testing systems as well as current projects in component placement and assembly. The visit provided a clear impression of how TQ-Group uses advanced manufacturing technologies to produce high-quality electronic solutions efficiently and competitively in Germany.
